1. General information
This subject reinforces and deepens the linguistic bases of the Arabic language acquired in the previous subject (Second Language I) with the aim of enabling students to communicate in situations related to level A2 of the CEFRL. The student will also be introduced to various aspects of Arabic culture.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/ ), the acquisition of the learning results of the subject provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement:

2. Learning results
With respect to an A1 level, leading to A2, of the CEFR:
1. Identify and correctly reproduce the phonetic and phonological system of the Arabic language.
2. Correctly use and read the graphic system of the Arabic language.
3. Recognize simple structures of Arabic grammar.
4. Analyse the components of Arabic grammar and their application.
5. Communicates orally in Arabic using simple sentences.
6. Understand oral texts on everyday matters and simply composed texts in the Arabic language.
7. Communicate in Arabic language in written form by means of simple sentences at the corresponding level.
8. Understand written texts on everyday matters and composed with simplicity.
9. Can synthesize, transfer and exchange simple oral and written information in Arabic at the level corresponding to the year.
10. Identify basic notions of Arabic culture.

1. Verb phrases I
Verb morphology: root, voice and aspect.
Conjugation of the perfective
Expressions “to have to" and "to have"

4. Academic activities
Presentation by the teacher of the basic questions of the Arabic language in its grammatical and usage aspects
Individual and group writing and reading practice on the proposed topics where the students acquire the ability to correctly use Arabic spelling and phonetics and apply comprehension and expression skills
Resolution of grammar problems, with special emphasis on the new aspects introduced in each didactic unit
Outside the classroom, students are expected to perform a variety of teacher-directed activities aimed at consolidating their language skills the consolidation of their language skills.
5. Assessment system
First call:
a) Continuous assessment system
The date of completion or delivery of the exercises or tests will be duly indicated at the beginning of the term
Test 1. Oral and written tests of basic noun phrases on related topics. It will account for 30 % of the grade. No minimum grade is required to average the final grade.
Test 2. Oral and written tests of noun and verb phrases on everyday topics. It will account for 70% of the grade. The minimum grade that must be obtained in this test to average the final grade is 4.
b) Global assessment test
Practical tests, both written and oral, taken on the same date and based on the structures of noun and verb phrases and the lexicon of the basic topics that make up the content of the subject
In all tests, receptive (in listening and reading), productive (in speaking and writing) and mediating (in translation, interpretation and analysis) skills will be assessed , as well as the correct use of the linguistic and lexical structures. The required level is A2 of the CEFR.
Second call:
Global evaluation test with the same characteristics and criteria as the global test of the first one
